I Am Announcing A New Competition To Give All Forum Members A Chance To Win Either a 3 Month, 6 Month or possibly 12 Month Gon2dogs Virtual Greyhound Racing Game Membership: http://www.gon2dogs.com
*Please note this competition is open to any ‘registered’ and ‘activated’ member of the Gon2dogs forum regardless of if you are an existing Gon2dogs Virtual Greyhound Racing Game member or not. However, all existing Gon2dogs members will each receive an ‘extra’ ticket into the competition draw at the time we make the draw (time of draw to be confirmed and announced).
Right, here’s how it works.
Submit any greyhound you think is among the greatest ever to ‘Grace the Track’.
You will need to submit the name (racing name not some kennel name) of the greyhound, the distance it raced at (or was best at), it’s racing record (how many times it raced with wins and losses) and the reason why (in your words not copied from somewhere else due to copyright) you think it deserves to be included as one of the greatest.
There will be three categories, Sprint, Middle Distance and Staying and we will choose a First, Second and Third Place in each category. We will then choose a Winner, Runner Up and Third Place ‘All Time Greatest’ regardless of the distance they raced at.
You may choose any greyhound past or present and you can enter as many times in as many categories as you like (see competition rules below). However, you can only enter the same greyhound once and each entry must be on a separate form (see competition rules below).
For every ‘genuine’ (see competition rules below) entry you make, you will receive one ticket into the prize draw for that ‘category’ (see competition rules below). For every entry that includes a picture of the greyhound you will receive one additional ticket, so if an existing member (at time of draw) nominated one dog plus a picture of that dog he/she would receive three tickets into the draw.
• 1 Ticket for the greyhound he/she nominated
• 1 Ticket for the picture (of the greyhound nominated) attached to his/her entry.
• 1 Ticket for being an existing member of Gon2dogs Virtual Greyhound Racing Game.
*Please note that if you submitted 10 entries with pictures of each greyhound and you are an existing member at the time of the draw then you will have 30 tickets entered into the draw(s) - Minus/Less any winning tickets.
I will offer the following prizes:
Category Prize Draw -
Sprint Category (375meters/400yards or less):
• One 3 Month Membership for the winning ticket that is drawn among all the tickets entered for this category. So if you want to have a chance of winning in this category you must enter a ‘Sprint’ distance greyhound.
Middle Category (420 to 575meters/450 to 600 yards):
• One 3 Month Membership for the winning ticket that is drawn among all the tickets entered for this category. So if you want to have a chance of winning in this category you must enter a ‘Middle’ distance greyhound.
Staying Category (600meters/650 yards or above):
• One 3 Month Membership for the winning ticket that is drawn among all the tickets entered for this category. So if you want to have a chance of winning in this category you must enter a ‘Staying’ distance greyhound.
*Please note that if the person who has the winning ticket drawn; also nominated the greyhound that is deemed best greyhound in that category he/she will receive a 6 month membership as well as an entry into our additional ‘bonus’ draw (prizes to be announced later).
Grand Prize Draw -
• One 6 Month Membership for the winning ticket that is drawn among all the tickets entered in the competition (regardless of categories) but minus/less any tickets previously drawn (so make sure you have at least two tickets entered in to the main competition on your behalf).
*Please note that if the person who has the winning ticket drawn; also nominated the greyhound that is deemed the ‘All Time Greatest Winner’ he/she will receive a 12 month membership as well as an entry into our additional ‘bonus’ draw (prizes to be announced later).
So everyone has a chance to vote for their favourite, we will conduct a poll for each category of ‘Sprint’, ‘Middle’ and ‘Staying’. The winners of each category will be determined by both the results of that poll in conjunction with a careful deliberation from a panel of judges. On agreement, their decision will be final.
The three category winners will then be subjected to another new and separate poll. The winner of the ‘Greatest Greyhound of All Time’ will be determined by both the results of that poll in conjunction with further careful deliberation from a panel of judges. On agreement, their decision will be final.
*Please note that judges will not be allowed to participate in this competition and will remain objective and unbiased when making their final decisions.
Please read the competition ‘Rules’ so you understand everything and then copy the ‘Example Entry Form’ at the bottom. If you have any questions please ask them here, if not then start researching your nominations and the very best of luck - Gon2dogs Competition Rules:1) Greyhounds entered will be deemed ‘genuine’ only after Gon2dogs have checked and reviewed the information submitted pertaining to the greyhounds racing record - In other words there is no point nominating an A3 dog at Sunderland - Gon2dogs decision on this will be final (so ensure you enter a greyhound that can be ‘genuinely’ considered ‘great’ based on that greyhounds known record).
2) Each category will be as per the distance generally accepted as ‘Sprint’, ‘Middle’ and ‘Staying’ – which have been determined as above.
3) Use the example form below (copy and paste into your email) to submit your entry. Once I receive the entry I will email back a confirmation number to confirm I have received your entry, this confirmation number will also be your entry ticket number so please keep it safe. If you do not receive a confirmation email/number from us within 48 hours, then please resend your entry.
4) If you attach a picture of the greyhound with your email entry, you will receive two entry ticket numbers in your confirmation email. *Please note that any pictures you send will be accepted in ‘good faith’ are subject to passing our email/attachment ‘virus detection scanner’ and are presumed to be free of any ‘copyright’ infringements.
5) Each category prize will be drawn after the winning greyhound of that category has been determined and posted in the forum. The winning ticket and members name will then be announced and posted thereafter.
6) Because the greyhounds submitted are entered via email, it is acceptable to Gon2dogs if any greyhound is nominated more than once by different Forum or Gon2dogs Virtual Greyhound Racing Game members. However, it is not acceptable for any one Forum or Gon2dogs Virtual Greyhound Racing Game member to nominate the same greyhound more than once. If the same greyhound is nominated more than once by one member, only the first nomination will be accepted and therefore only one confirmation email and ticket will be issued to that member.
7) If a greyhound is nominated more than once by different members and Gon2dogs can determine the nominations are different and submitted in good faith then both or all (to a maximum of ten) nominations will be accepted. Gon2dogs reserves the right to delete any that are not deemed different and needless to say Gon2dogs decision is final (this is basically to prevent one persons nomination from being resubmitted by a different party bar (probably) a words changed – Hence use your own words when giving your reasons for nominating the greyhound. *Please do not give reasons similar to “this greyhound’s record speaks for itself” as your sole reason for nomination.
8) Which brings us onto the part about using your own words when giving the reason for submitting your nomination? You can use any source for inspiration of your reasons why you believe a greyhound should be nominated, but so you do not infringe on other peoples ‘copyright’ they should be in your own words.
9) If you knowingly or accidentally submit incorrect greyhound record information (races run, distance raced, wins and losses), then that entry may be deleted – again Gon2dogs decision will be final (so double check it guys and include your source (web link, book etc) where you obtained the record information in your entry form if you can).
10) All information, pictures and other relating to one or more of the nominations you make in respect of this competition will be kept on file and will become the sole property of Gon2dogs.
11) It will be deemed that you fully agree to the Gon2dogs terms of use and have read our privacy policy at time of you submitting your entry.
12) Prizes will only be issued to Forum or Gon2dogs Virtual Greyhound Racing Game Members who have submitted accurate personal details at time of their registration that is/can be verifiable by Gon2dogs.
13) ‘Grace the Track’ shall mean any greyhound that has professionally raced on a greyhound racing track to an extremely high standard as determined by that greyhounds racing record.
14) A greyhound racing track can be any greyhound racing track past or present that was well known and recognisable by greyhound racing participants or was on record as such.
15) The maximum membership duration that can be won by any one member 12 months. Gon2dogs reserves the right to amend, alter or delete any part of these rules at any time without giving prior notice and ultimately Gon2dogs decision in all matters, civil, legal or other.
